About AAC Lila
AAC Lila is a Canadian-bred, mid-season variety that offers growers and pickers alike a reliable and high-quality berry. Trials have shown it produces attractive, medium-to-large, firm, conical berries of bright red colour. The flavour is described as clean and fresh, a good balance of sweetness and acidity. On the plant side, AAC Lila shows vigour, produces ample runners for establishment, and in one paper demonstrated partial resistance to red stele root rot (RSR), making it a strong choice for commercial or serious direct-market operations. It also features, according to grower listings, a “higher neck” ease of picking, and firm berries that hold up well.
