Agritourism Alberta launches Taste the Alberta Berry Harvest

Agritourism Alberta (formerly Alberta Farm Fresh Producers Association) has launched Taste the Alberta Berry Harvest, a provincial promotion encouraging Albertans to visit participating U-pick farms, buy locally grown berries and berry products, and spend time on Alberta farms during the summer harvest.
Nineteen farms are taking part so far, from the Grande Prairie region in the north to the Lethbridge region in the south. More Agritourism Alberta members are still signing up.

Provincial Funding Boosts Alberta's Small Family Farms and Agritourism Sector

Locally grown food and agritourism experiences are shaping the future of farming in Alberta. With robust support from the Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration (JETI), the Alberta Farm Fresh Producers Association (AFFPA) is launching a dynamic new initiative to bolster Alberta’s small family farms and agritourism sector. This program aims to connect consumers with local farms and local food, diversify farm income through agritourism and strengthen Alberta’s food supply chain.
