Saskatoon Spinach Salad

Dressing:

  • 1/3 or 125 ml cup sugar
  • 1/2 or 125 ml cup Canola oil
  • 1/4 or 50 ml cup white vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp or 25 ml Flax seeds, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tsp or 7 ml onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp or 7 ml Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp or 5 ml Poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp or 1 ml paprika

    Combine ingredients in a thighly covered jar or container and shake well, set aside.

    Salad:

  • 1 lb or 500 g Spinach, shredded
  • 2 cups or 500 ml Saskatoon berries, fresh or freshly thawed
  • 1/2 cup or 125 ml slivered almonds, toasted

    Combine greens and Saskatoon berries in a large glass bowl. Top with toasted almonds. Add dressing and toss.

    Serves 6.
