|Saskatoon Pie Filling
Place berries, water and lemon juice in a saucepan. Simmer about 10 minutes. (Do not boil! May also use microwave to cook berries). Add sugar and tapioca. Arrange mixture in unbaked pie shell.
Bake on bottom rack of oven at 425 F for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 F for another 30-35 minutes until juice is bubbly.
